Note: This is the old version. I bought it in March 2009 and since then have purchased the 2010 which is practically the same. The review is complete.
PRO: Norton toolbar is awesome when you go online. Very fast, thin, not to preserve nature for the use of the device.
CONS: Pop-ups are a bit 'annoying.
Final verdict: Get the new (Norton Internet Security 2010) its worth it.
SUMMARY purchased based on my experience with Norton, in general, and some ofI had read reviews of his performance and the type of use "lean resources of the computer. The updates are fast (they call the" pulse "updates, an appropriate name) and not always in the way the use of your machine. Antivirus fires when not using the computer, but rather annoying pop-up shows that the computer wakes from sleep. It seems to be a setting from this without doing something drastic to turn.
Note: This post is for 2010 on both Windows 7 and Windows Vista.

Slows Computer Responses Considerably – Workin’ from home –
I bought this new product from Amazon, and I believe initially did not know there was a problem after installation. We live in a rural area, and sometimes service is slow – even at high speeds. Then I thought, my memory was full, deleted and many proposals, such as temporary files, etc.. Still super slow and become more and more all the time. A lot of times the mouse touchpad (Dell Inspiron 6000 – one year of age) and work well out of line could not react with great latency. Computerhad to be off every day or almost impossible to get an answer, and even when shut off and started again, the response was very, very, very slowly ….. very frustrating to try to get the job done. And finally, I decided that this program …… Clear and Present – WOW! – My computer is back to his old answer lickety Split and are able to get my job done on time. I wish I could hear only opinions, and had not bought this product.I do not want to reinstall, and be very suspicious of NIS on all products in the future. And I learned something ….. opinions very helpful so I'll pay much more attention to them in the future. I had this product a minus two stars, but I could not understand how. I went with a 2-year subscription to update it for me (no update to the old version) and did not want to tackle forced a year. Error.

It is a memory hog. After running a virus scan, you should leave, otherwise other programs will be extremely slow. I treated that month only by virus scanners.

I finally got so frustrated, but always with an error that my antivirus does not. The Fix button now forced a Live Updatethat solves the problem, but never completed. Even uninstalling and reinstalling everything (twice) did nothing to help. And do not fail with this virus protection, my Outlook program would not let a new e-mail and Internet Explorer to fail (Mozilla Firefox, but worked).

I'm going to try that works well for McAfee to work on my laptop. I'm glad that I no longer own any stock SYMC …

Norton Internet Security 2007 for 3 PC – M. Ioan – Rockford
I've been using Norton for more than 10 years and I had no problem until I have sold this product as protection is for 1 year and up to 3 PCs purchased. After I installed the first PC I tried to install on second PC. Unfortunately it did not work and all the programs I had on this PC off. I had a very difficult time removing it. Then I contacted Symantec technical support and advice from the first computer I had was usless. I installed the program on the secondComputer and this time I received the message that my subscription has expired (I activated the product in October 2001, 07), and anti-virus and web protection could not turn on – no protection wirus. (My Computer OS – Win XP Pro). I would not try to install on the laptop, after what I experienced with the installation on second PC.
Do not buy this product if you are not accustomed to a severe headache.
Stay away from Symantec products now.
